Design Engineer

Our Client is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to take the lead in developing existing products and in creating new products to meet our customers needs. Experience with the full development life cycle is important. This role has wide latitude and an Engineer prepared to lead the way with setting design standards, creating innovative product design and demonstrating a can do attitude will be provided with the scope they need to deliver success. Verification and testing experience is essential. You will need excellent Solidworks (or similar 3D) design skills and a knowledge of machining and injection moulding.
Experience working with suppliers to ensure mechanical parts are manufactured accurately and to the supplied specifications would be an advantage. Experience working alongside Hardware, Software and Firmware Engineers would also be favourable. Above all you will be a team player with a proven record of delivery.

A degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Product Development and at least three years of experience in a large manufacturing company is required.
